Winter Tanka Poem

Taken while snow shoeing

Taken while snowshoeing

This poem was originally posted on my other blog but it was written about this photo, so I am reposting.

Silent winter trees
A resting spot for snow flakes
Sleeping there on limbs
Watching, listening and waiting
For a break in solitude
